LIFE SKILLS for DOGS - private, one on one, training
Raising and training any dog should consist of teaching life skills beyond the usual Sit, Lie Down and Heel. We structure our training programs around the skills your dog needs to fit into life with you. That may mean learning how to rest quietly under a desk at work, how to help sip Lattes at a sidewalk cafe or how to help cheer on the kids at soccer games. Each dog’s role as companion differs according to the lifestyle of its humans. Dogs are wonderfully adept at fitting into all manner of situations as long as they are given adequate guidance and direction about what is expected of them. We specialize in puppies, young dogs and proactive, preventative training. In an effort to maintain that focus, we will be referring aggressive dog cases to our colleagues in the Pioneer Valley. Training sessions always start in the dog’s home. Our initial meeting normally lasts 1 1/2 hours, includes telephone and email “tech support” and is usually followed by one or more sessions of 1 hour, spaced at intervals and at locations we decide are appropriate to meet our goals. Well adjusted dogs get to be involved in all kinds of activities! Fees: $ 100 per private session hour I will not be accepting any new clients for training at this time. Please check back in the Spring!
